My pops is the man...

and thanks to him I got the bug. Ever since I can remember I have been drawn to things with wheels. Skateboards, bikes, mini bikes, motorcycles, cars...

Back in the day he use to scramble but called it quits after a bad crash got him thinking about wanting to see his first kid (me) born... my mom was pregnant with me at the time.

When I was young he and I would go on week end camping trips on his metallic orange Water Buffalo. He use to tie a rope around us so I could sleep while riding on the back of the bike.

My dad was a fireman at one of the oldest fire stations in New England and I remember going into the station with him when I was super young and poking around in the back shop. This fire station was so old that they still had a shop left over from the days when a blacksmith would outfit and modify early buggies to make there own specialized fire fighting equipment. I feel it's experiences like these that ultimately led to me making things with my hands.

Thanks dad, thanks for giving me the bug that I am so glad to have. The apple truly does not fall far from the tree.

Designing and building you a motorcycle now is both bitter and sweet. In one moment it is like you are right there in my mind while I work, the next moment I realize you are miles away and I am sad that your not here working next to me.

I love you dad!

My poor neglected Datsun

It has been so long since I worked on her.

This Sunday I go to meet a gentleman who has a parts car and many other parts I need to finish her up.

Now that Special #6 is done I can put a good chunk of time in on the Datsun while I look for the T140 donor bike my dad's project needs.

Here are a few images of how she looked like when I was driving her last summer.

Thanks Everyone!

Thank you to all the wonderful people I met at the Long Beach show.

I feel my bike is one of those builds where you either get it or you don't... and I was simply amazed by the number of people that got it and talked with me to share their enthusiasm.

I am so fueled by the experience that I simply can not wait to get my other ideas out of my head and into metal.

Stay tuned for more, this is just the beginning ;)
